Responsibilities:

1. Maintain, diagnose, and repair multiple types of refrigeration systems, including all mechanical and electrical components (such as self-contained coolers, freezers, single and rack systems).
2. Perform minor plumbing repairs on refrigeration equipment, including walk-in drain lines, case drain lines, cooling towers, and water-cooled condensers.
3. Inspect plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems and identify specifications required.
4. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
5. Collaborate directly with grocery store managers and store directors.
6. Quote equipment repairs and recommend replacement when necessary.
7. Maintain proper van stock, tools, and safety equipment on work van.

Skills:

• Good judgment in use of supplies and materials for refrigeration repairs.
• Attention to detail and critical analysis for diagnostics and work performed.
• Professional communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years prior HVAC/R experience.
• Availability for ON CALL work as needed.
• Ability to pass a physical/drug screen, background check, and driving abstract as needed.

Bonus Points:

• Universal EPA License.
• Electrical License.
• 2-3 years of grocery refrigeration/HVAC experience.
• Related education/certification in HVAC and refrigeration industry.
