Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of complex commercial real estate transactions from contract negotiation through closing and post-closing.
• Conduct due diligence including title, survey review, and lien searches.
• Prepare organizational documents and assist with entity formation.
• Prepare and maintain closing checklists and critical-date timelines.
• Assist with closing documents and closing binders.
• Provide transaction support for both local and national CRE matters.

Overview

A well-regarded commercial real estate law firm based in downtown Miami is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing team. What you'll do

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of complex commercial real estate transactions, from contract negotiation and due diligence through closing and post-closing matters
• Support attorneys in all aspects of transactions, from contracts and loan commitments through closing and post-closing
• Conduct and assist with commercial real estate due diligence, including title and survey review, title objection letters, lease reviews, municipal lien searches, and UCC, judgment, litigation, and lien searches
• Prepare organizational documents and assist with entity formation
• Prepare and maintain closing checklists and critical-date timelines
• Assist with preparation and review of title commitments, title policies, closing statements, affidavits, entity authorizations, and customary closing documentation
• Prepare and maintain closing binders
• Provide additional transaction support as needed for both local and national commercial real estate matters

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal, with significant experience handling transactions involving shopping centers and retail triple-net (NNN) properties, such as restaurants, drugstores, and bank buildings
• Experience with corporate law and entity-related matters
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and organization
• Ability to proactively identify issues, develop solutions, and work independently with sound judgment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with attorneys, clients, colleagues, and outside parties
• Proficient in Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, title and survey matters, due diligence, and closing procedures

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred
• Equivalent education and relevant professional experience will be considered
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant commercial real estate paralegal experience preferred
