Connecticut-based law firm seeks an attorney with strong commercial real estate experience to handle acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development. You will work closely with owners, developers, lenders, and investors to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions.

The candidate should bring excellent drafting and negotiation skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to deliver practical, results-oriented legal advice in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar and good standing.
• Experience practicing commercial real estate law, with exposure to transactional matters.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, legal research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage transactions from initial negotiations through closing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Represent buyers and sellers in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, deeds, title documents, and closing instruments.
• Prepare and negotiate commercial lease agreements, including office, retail, industrial, and other commercial properties.
• Advise landlords, tenants, property owners, and investors on commercial leasing and other real estate matters.
• Assist with commercial real estate financing transactions, including loan documentation, due diligence, and closing requirements.
• Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, environmental considerations, and related property issues.
• Counsel clients on real estate development, ownership structures, and investment transactions.
• Coordinate with lenders, title companies, brokers, surveyors, environmental consultants, and other professionals to facilitate closings.
• Identify and resolve legal and business issues that arise throughout the transaction process.
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships and meeting deadlines.
