Job summary

This midlevel attorney will handle a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and closings, with direct client interaction and a collaborative team.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of transactional experience, a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, and active Connecticut Bar status.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and/or commercial leasing.
• Strong closing experience and ability to review title, survey, and due diligence materials.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with a broader team.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions.
• Work on office, retail, and industrial leasing, and on purchase and sale agreements.
• Review title and survey, coordinate with lenders, title companies, and other participants.
• Draft and negotiate real estate documents and manage closings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a midlevel transactional attorney looking to take on significant client responsibility while working on sophisticated commercial real estate matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and closings.

The role offers hands-on deal experience, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative and collegial environment.

Role Overview

The associate will handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:

• Acquisitions and dispositions
• Office, retail, and industrial leasing
• Purchase and sale agreements
• Title and survey review
• Transaction closings
• Drafting and negotiating real estate documents
• Coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and other transaction participants

Real estate finance experience is a plus.

Candidate Profile

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active Connecticut Bar admission required
• 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and/or commercial leasing
• Strong closing experience
• Experience reviewing title, survey, and other due diligence materials
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
