Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Position Classification: Full-Time Regular

Rockford is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commercial Property Manager to oversee assigned commercial properties. Rockford Property Managers are responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring the client's experience exceeds expectations. Key responsibilities include maintaining properties, outreach/marketing, community engagement, and responding promptly and positively to clients and tenants. This position reports directly to the Commercial & HOA Regional Property Manager.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of commercial property management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to manage all aspects of assigned properties
  • Knowledge to inspect and coordinate maintenance to meet standards
  • Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain positive, productive relationships with tenants and owners
  • In-depth knowledge of property management rules and regulations
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with contractors reliably and promptly
  • Advertise and market vacant spaces to attract tenants
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasting requirements and analyzing variances, data, and trends
  • Oversee property personnel and assess performance
  • Build relationships with prospective clients to expand business
  • Stay updated on job and market knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned

Bonus Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of property management and financial aspects
  • Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software
  • Valid real estate agent/broker license
