A well-established Birmingham, Alabama-based commercial construction company seeks an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience, a track record with ground-up work, and oversight of $5M–$40M projects. You will lead schedules, budgets, team coordination, and ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience.
• Experience as Assistant Project Manager/APM required.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $5M-$40M.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and financials.
• Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and plans.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Manage project costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and financial performance.
• Identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards.

A well-established commercial construction company based in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who has progressed from an Assistant Project Manager role and is ready to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Project Management experience, a strong background managing ground-up construction projects, and experience overseeing projects ranging from $5M-$40M. Commercial construction experience is preferred, but candidates with diverse ground-up project experience will be considered.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and project financials
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively resolve project challenges
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
