Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager for ground-up construction projects in the Twin Cities area. We are an established GC with over 60 years in business, offering a strong culture, competitive bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role involves overseeing projects from conception to completion, managing budgets, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and ensuring high-quality construction. A Bachelor's in a related field and 3+ years of PM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of construction project management experience.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage projects.
• Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and PM principles.
• Excellent knowledge of cost control and basic accounting.
• Excellent contract negotiations and procurement experience.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and motivational abilities.
• Excellent time management and deadline adherence.
• Experience with construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors to ensure efficiency.
• Selecting tools, materials and equipment and tracking inventory with cost-effective procurement.
• Reviewing work progress daily and conducting site inspections.
• Preparing reports on job status for stakeholders.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are competed on time and within budget.
• Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand expectations and work efficiently.
• Selecting tools, materials and equipment and tracking inventory, while ensuring the procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective.
• Reviewing the work progress on a daily basis and conducting regular site inspections.
• Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status, and presenting them to stakeholders.
• Negotiating terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
• Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks, and implementing quality control programs.
• Leading and managing the project team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and optimizes team performance.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in construction project management.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage projects with a strong understanding of the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
• Exceptional knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
• Excellent knowledge of construction contract negotiations and procurement processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to motivate and direct a team to achieve project goals.
• Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software packages.
