Job summary

BSS Contract Solutions Ltd is seeking a Commercial Project Manager for Wicklow to oversee commercial performance on high-end stone, quartz and porcelain installations. You will manage projects from quotation to installation, ensuring deadlines, quality, and margins are protected.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, superb planning, and coordination across sales, templating, CAD and production teams in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for commercial performance and profitability of assigned projects.
• Coordinate projects from quotation through templating, fabrication, production, delivery and installation.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and margins against the original estimate.
• Review BOQs, tender documents, specifications, contracts and project requirements.
• Prepare, record and commercially recover variations, additional works and change orders.
• Track actual project costs and maintain accurate commercial and project records.
• Plan and schedule multiple live projects around commitments and resources.
• Coordinate with sales, templating, CAD, production, fabrication and installation teams.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and commercial risks in advance.
• Act as a key contact for architects, designers, kitchen companies, builders and clients.
• Monitor milestones, resolve issues, ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide senior management with visibility on costs, margins and priorities.

COMMERCIAL PROJECT MANAGER Co. Wicklow | Full-time | Permanent Salary From €70,000+ per annum, negotiable depending on experience Sector Specialist stone contracting / construction Reporting to Senior Management

The Opportunity Our client is a leading specialist stone contractor delivering premium stone, quartz and porcelain installations for residential, commercial, fit-out and specialist construction projects. This role combines commercial management, project coordination, scheduling and client liaison. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from quotation and order through production, installation and commercial completion, ensuring that deadlines, quality and margins are protected.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial performance and profitability of assigned projects.
• Coordinate projects from quotation and order through templating, fabrication, production, delivery and installation.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and margins against the original estimate.
• Review BOQs, tender documents, specifications, contracts and project requirements.
• Prepare, record and commercially recover variations, additional works and change orders.
• Track actual project costs and maintain accurate commercial and project records.
• Plan and schedule multiple live projects around customer commitments, site readiness, material availability and installation resources.
• Coordinate with sales, templating, CAD, production, fabrication and installation teams to ensure an effective handover and workflow.
• Identify scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, commercial risks and resource constraints in advance.
• Act as a key point of contact for architects, designers, kitchen companies, builders, developers, main contractors and private clients.
• Monitor project milestones, resolve issues quickly and ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.
• Provide senior management with clear visibility on project costs, margins, risks and operational priorities.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in commercial project management, quantity surveying, construction, specialist subcontracting, fit-out, manufacturing or fabrication.
• Strong commercial awareness and a sound understanding of project costing and profitability.
• Experience managing projects from tender or quotation through to completion.
• Strong planning and scheduling ability, with experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Confidence managing variations, additional works, cost information and commercial records.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong organisational ability, attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using project, estimating or scheduling systems.
• Desirable Experience Previous experience in the stone, quartz, granite, marble, porcelain, kitchen or interiors sector.
• A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Understanding of stone templating, fabrication, production and installation processes.
• Experience coordinating production or installation schedules in a manufacturing or specialist contracting environment.
• Experience working with main contractors and commercial construction projects.
