Job summary

South State Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to support the commercial loan and deposit portfolio for one or more Relationship Managers. You will perform underwriter quality analyses, prepare credit memos, and ensure adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.

In this role you will collaborate with Loan Operations, Credit Administration, and branch personnel, manage sizeable client relationships, and help drive sound risk management while delivering exceptional client

Qualifications

• - Education: Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• - Experience: 4–6 years in credit analysis and commercial banking, with at least 2 years in portfolio management or underwriting.
• - Knowledge: Federal and State lending regulations and bank policies.
• - Skills: Strong communication and written/verbal abilities.
• - Familiarity with loan structuring and loan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to evaluate credit worthiness of loan requests and portfolio management.
• Prepare comprehensive credit memos with borrower and guarantor analyses.
• Guide loan requests through Credit Approval Process.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and bank policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal partners and clients.
• Support Relationship Managers with portfolio monitoring and documentation.
