Job summary

Plimpton & Hills is seeking a driven Commercial Outside Sales Representative to grow business across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. You will identify new opportunities, develop existing customer relationships, and drive sales growth in commercial plumbing, HVAC, heating, and industrial markets.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who builds long-term partnerships, uncovers project opportunities, and delivers value-driven solutions to contractors, facility managers, municipalities,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in HVAC, plumbing, PVF, industrial distribution, mechanical contracting, or related industry.
• Demonstrated success developing new business and growing existing customer relationships.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage customer activity.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial business opportunities within an assigned territory and secure new accounts.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline and exceed sales goals.
• Manage relationships with contractors, facility managers, municipalities, and commercial customers.
• Collaborate with branch teams and inside sales to ensure customer success.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of activity and opportunities in the sales pipeline.
