Job summary

Daksta is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Estimator for commercial projects. You will develop comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems, reviewing plans and specs, and using Accubid and Bluebeam to ensure accuracy and consistency across bids and proposals.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, experience with HVAC, plumbing, and piping, and the ability to collaborate with project teams to meet budgets and schedules. Located in the St.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical estimator experience, preferably in commercial sector.
• Proficiency in Accubid and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping).
• Analytical and mathematical proficiency with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with project controls and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems in commercial projects.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and documents to determine requirements.
• Use Accubid and Bluebeam to develop and manage estimates.
• Coordinate with project teams to align scope and budget.
• Maintain cost databases reflecting market trends and pricing.
• Provide input on value engineering opportunities.
• Monitor project controls to ensure budgets and timelines.
• Assist in bid proposals and submission documentation.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
