Job summary

LINX is seeking a motivated Low Voltage Technician – Commercial Construction in Colorado Springs, CO. The role covers installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling on commercial projects, with growth from Technician I through Technician III and beyond.

You will build MDF/IDF closets, document installations to standards, and communicate professionally with site contacts. Travel within the state and occasional nationwide travel are required.

Qualifications

• Able to work on ladders and use power tools; able to lift, carry, and set up a 50-pound box or ladder
• Must own low voltage hand tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
• Available to work 2nd or 3rd shift, overtime, and under deadline pressure
• Must pass a 7-year criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cable runs
• Pull, suspend, fireproof, terminate, and test cable in accordance with BICSI standards, NEC, and local code
• Build and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware
• Document every installation for compliance with industry standards and project specifications
• Deliver organized, professional workmanship that meets spec on every run
• Travel to job sites within your home state as assigned, with occasional travel elsewhere in the country when project needs require it
