Job summary

LINX in Colorado Springs, CO, is hiring low voltage technicians to join a team that designs, installs, and supports commercial network cabling for data centers and multimedia systems.

Technicians must be dependable, willing to learn, and able to work 2nd/3rd shift with potential overtime; a valid driver’s license and low voltage tools are required. The role includes travel across the state and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on ladders and use power tools; lift 50 pounds; pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
• Commercial construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables with proper documentation and compliance.
• Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware, while troubleshooting low voltage cable systems.
• Perform cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, termination, and testing per BICSI standards, NEC, and local regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and strong communication to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure high-quality, organized workmanship on all installations to meet project specifications and exceed customer expectations.
• Travel to job sites anywhere within your state; may travel within the USA.
