Job summary

LINX in Cheyenne, WY seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install, terminate and test structured cabling on diverse commercial projects. Growth from Technician I to Technician III is available as you gain experience across data centers, offices, and campuses.

The role requires thorough documentation, adherence to codes, and strong communication with on-site teams. HVAC, safety training, and tool ownership are preferred, with a clear advancement path within LINX.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• Own a complete set of personal low voltage hand tools.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders.
• Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
• Pull, suspend, fireproof, terminate, and test cable runs to BICSI standards, NEC, and local code.
• Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks and patch panels; manage wire systems.
• Troubleshoot low voltage cable systems on site and document installations for compliance.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts to resolve technical issues.
