Job summary

Centier Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Workout Officer within the Credit Risk Management team of the Credit Administration Division. You will manage distressed and watch-listed commercial loans, performing up to $1.5M, and negotiate renewals with bank counsel.

The role emphasizes collaboration with risk staff, documentation accuracy, and due diligence adherence, with some local travel and potential hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business, finance, or accounting preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of prior commercial workout experience or related lending/credit roles.
• Experience in collateral analysis and commercial loan documentation required.
• Ability to travel locally; some regional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of substandard, special mention, watch, and pass rated commercial loan accounts and ORE.
• Handle distressed loans up to $1,000,000 and performing loans up to $1,500,000.
• Develop, negotiate, and document renewals, forbearance, and legal strategies with bank counsel.
• Demonstrate reductions in distressed loans, credit risk, and losses; pursue recoveries.
• Assist senior workout officers and complete credit risk reviews as assigned.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk Management staff and related stakeholders.
• Conduct due diligence per bank policy; some travel is required, primarily local.
• Travel may include occasional regional trips.
