Job summary

North State Bank is seeking a Banker Loan Assistant in Raleigh to support the Specialized Lending Group. You will review, prepare and coordinate loan closings, collect updated financial information, and back up portfolio management as needed. This is a full-time on-site role.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in a related field and 3+ years of loan support experience, with strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in business/finance.
• 3+ years of commercial loan support or related banking work.
• Knowledge of lending processes, documentation, and servicing requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with loan origination/servicing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist lenders with loan requests by gathering and reviewing docs.
• Coordinate due diligence: credit reports, appraisals, title commitments, and more.
• Ensure files are complete and compliant with policies and regulations.
• Prepare documentation for closings and support customers and attorneys.
• Process servicing items: draws, inquiries, credits/debits, payoff requests.
