Job summary

Encore Bank in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Experienced Lending Specialist to coordinate loan documentation, close loans on schedule, and support Relationship Managers and the Regional President. The role also involves assisting with deposits, treasury, and lending services, plus occasional retail branch coverage.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of loan processing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least two years of clerical, administrative support or general office experience.
• At least one year of loan processing experience.
• Experience in Commercial Lending preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Results driven and customer focused.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handles ongoing loan requests, including new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensions.
• Works directly with Loan Operations so that loans are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Works with customers to obtain required loan documentation.
• Provides exceptional customer service to clients on deposits, treasury and lending requests.
• Reviews and clears loan exceptions weekly.
• Gathers documents needed for annual loan reviews.
• Provide administrative and sales support to Relationship Managers and Regional President as needed.
• Assist in servicing active loans, monitor past due reports and maturing loan reports.
• Assists with the processing of loan payments, payoffs, and advances.
• Maintains knowledge of bank loan policy and banking regulations.
