Job summary

Busey is seeking a Loan Coordinator in Champaign, IL to ensure data integrity of customer and loan information across loan applications and products. The coordinator works closely with Relationship Managers and sales leaders to generate new loan requests, renewals, and other customer requests within the loan origination system.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, with 2+ years banking experience and a High School diploma.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other proprietary bank systems.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Complete work with frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of the Bank’s credit culture and advise Relationship Managers on deviations from standard practices.
• Serve as a resource for Relationship Managers on loan operations and processing.
• Coordinate with internal departments during the loan process and liaise with commercial lending teams.
• Manage annual renewals, new loan requests and monthly reporting for all loan types.
• Enter customer and loan information into the loan origination system with data integrity at input.
• Obtain pre-closing documentation and interact with clients per RM direction.
• Review closed loan packages for changes; request Change Memos as needed.
• Verify recordation and collateral perfection where applicable.
• Provide back-up support for other Loan Coordinators during peak periods.
