Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Commercial Booking Associate II to board externally documented commercial loans, including renewals and extensions, and to ensure proper processing within core systems. The role involves second day review and coordinating with external counsel to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The position requires familiarity with complex lending transactions, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail, supporting a reliable and compliant commercial lending operation

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the lending process and the policies and procedures governing commercial lending.
• Understanding of commercial loan documentation and concepts for loan booking of large loans.
• Ability to interpret external counsel documents and ensure proper boarding of loans.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the loan operating systems to board new, renewed, extended and modified loans.
• Maintain knowledge of real estate, ABLOC, SWAP loans, syndications and participations to compare with loan approvals.
• Complete daily second day boarding verification for externally documented loans.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external servicing and lending departments regarding changes to loan boarding data.
• Review loan closing and modification documents and propose necessary changes for operation control.
• Track and assign booking department responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain compliance with loan closings and operations regulations.
