Jobot seeks a highly motivated and experienced Trial Attorney to join our Tampa office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and handles sophisticated, high-stakes disputes from inception through trial.

The ideal candidate will possess strong courtroom experience, advocacy skills, and the ability to manage complex commercial litigation matters while collaborating with a team of highly respected attorneys.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in complex commercial litigation.
• Significant courtroom, hearing, deposition, and trial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and client relationships.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Federal court experience is a plus.
• Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload from pleadings through trial and appeal.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in complex commercial, business, and civil disputes.
• Conduct and defend depositions, evidentiary hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions.
• Prepare witnesses, experts, and trial exhibits for hearings and trial proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and persuasive written advocacy.
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on significant client matters.
• Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and electronic discovery issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Participate in business development, networking, and firm marketing initiatives.
