Commercial Litigation Associate

Location: New York, NY

A respected national law firm is seeking a high-performing associate to join its expanding Commercial Litigation practice in New York. The team handles sophisticated disputes across state and federal courts, including significant Commercial Division work, and offers strong opportunities for early responsibility, case ownership, and collaboration with a well-regarded group of litigators.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex commercial disputes through all stages of litigation.
• Draft high-quality motions, briefs, and memoranda with strong analytical precision.
• Lead and support discovery, including depositions, document review, and e‑discovery processes.
• Participate in hearings, conferences, and settlement discussions.
• Work closely with partners and colleagues, contributing to strategy while independently owning key workstreams.

Who You Are

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience within a reputable law firm.
• Strong familiarity with New York federal and state courts, including the Commercial Division.
• Excellent academic credentials, writing ability, and research skills.
• Organised, proactive, and capable of handling matters independently and within teams.
• Judicial clerkship experience is advantageous.
• Member of the New York Bar (required).

Compensation

Salary Range: $205,000 – $225,000 DOE
