A respected national firm is seeking a commercial litigation associate to join its growing Metropolitan New York practice, based in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a NY/NJ litigator seeking sophisticated work without a Manhattan commute. The team offers strong mentorship, early responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a close-knit, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters across state and federal courts.
• Draft high-quality motions, briefs, and memoranda with precision and strong analytical focus.
• Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and settlement discussions.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to meet client needs effectively.
• Engage directly with clients and partners, contributing to strategic case development.

Who You Are

• 4–6 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally from a reputable law firm.
• Excellent academic credentials with strong writing and research abilities.
• Federal or state clerkship experience is preferred; law review or journal experience is advantageous.
• Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation is beneficial but not required.
• Strong communicator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Member of both the New Jersey and New York Bars (required).

Compensation

Salary Range: $175,000 – $185,000 DOE
