Job summary

Sovereign Insurance Group in Berwyn, PA is seeking an Insurance Account Specialist to manage renewal submissions, prepare applications, and coordinate with clients and carriers throughout the renewal process.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, handling loss run interpretations, and negotiating premiums with underwriters while supporting a team on a defined book of business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent insurance experience.
• Proven experience in commercial lines property & casualty account servicing preferred.
• A valid resident Property & Casualty license is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submission material on renewal accounts needing remarketing.
• Track expiration listing and initiate renewal process with carrier and client.
• Prepare renewal applications via third-party platform and manage client communications.
• Manage carrier and insured communications during renewal process.
• Initiate endorsement requests and submit to carriers.
• Handle questions, research and resolve problems.
• Interact with carriers and customers to ensure exceptional service and adherence to policies.
• Interpret loss runs and explain to insured as needed.
• Negotiate policy premiums with underwriters.
• Clarify or challenge incomplete information with underwriters.
• Prepare executive summaries and renewal documents for clients.
• Work in a team environment on a defined book of business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
