Job summary

Sovereign Insurance Group is seeking an Account Manager to service our commercial lines clients and maintain exceptional customer relations. You will manage renewals, review policy changes, and liaise with carriers to ensure accurate coverage and timely quotations.

Candidates should have a business-related degree, 3 years of commercial lines experience, and a Property & Casualty license. Hybrid opportunities exist in Berwyn, PA, with remote options across several states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent insurance experience.
• 3 years’ experience in commercial lines account servicing preferred.
• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight.

Responsibilities

• Manage and retain existing book of business.
• Review and process bill renewals, new policies, and policy changes.
• Review commercial policies for accuracy and resolve coverage discrepancies.
• Handle coverage questions and resolve problems with clients/underwriters.
• Interact with carriers and customers to ensure service quality.
• Manage renewal submissions for marketing (applications, exhibits, narratives, loss runs).
• Submit applications to carriers and follow up for quotations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of commercial lines clients and maintenance of exceptional customer relations. This person acts as a generalist within our industries.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage and retain existing book of business.
• Review and process bill renewals, new policies, and policy changes.
• Thoroughly review all commercial insurance policies for their accuracy, research coverage discrepancies until resolved, and communicate changes to insurance company.
• Handle coverage questions, research, and resolve problems.
• Interact with carriers and internal/external customers to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Manage the process of renewal submissions for marketing including application(s), necessary exhibit(s), narrative(s), collection of loss runs and answers to underwriting questions.
• Submit applications to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
• Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent experience in the insurance industry
• 3 years’ experience in commercial lines property & casualty account servicing preferred
• A valid resident Property & Casualty insurance license is required
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, AMS360 and ImageRight.
• Knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this clearly to clients and underwriters.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, industry standards, and compliance best practices.
• Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage & rate analysis.
• Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude, and willingness to help others.
• Able to work under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced environment
