Job summary

Sovereign Insurance Group in Berwyn, PA is seeking an Account Manager to service commercial lines clients and maintain exceptional relationships. This role functions as a generalist within our team, supporting policy renewals, changes, and carrier communications.

You will review policies for accuracy, address coverage questions, and coordinate with underwriters to deliver timely quotations and solutions while collaborating closely with colleagues to uphold service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
• 3 years’ experience in commercial lines property & casualty account servicing preferred.
• A valid resident Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight.
• Knowledge of insurance coverages and the ability to communicate this to clients and underwriters.
• Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage & rate analysis.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage and retain existing book of business.
• Review and process bill renewals, new policies, and policy changes.
• Review all commercial policies for accuracy and resolve coverage discrepancies with insurers.
• Handle coverage questions, research, and problem resolution.
• Interact with carriers and customers to ensure service and compliance.
• Coordinate renewal submissions for marketing, exhibits, loss runs, and underwriting questions.
• Submit applications to carriers and follow up for quotations and policies.
• Perform other duties as may be required.
