Job summary

Cross Insurance, part of the Cross Family of Agencies, seeks a Commercial Lines Processor in Rhode Island. You will handle processing of commercial lines documents, support Producers and Account Managers, and manage certificates, EPIs, and workflow audits.

The role involves scanning into AMS360, organizing priorities, and using Word, Outlook, and Teams as core tools. Training is provided where needed, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Understanding and following the Cross Basic Procedure Manual.
• Auditing transactions to ensure correct Action Codes.
• Processing download reports for new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.

Responsibilities

• Issuing certificates and EPIs.
• Invoicing all types of download transactions.
• Mailing new business letters to clients and routing mail to responsible producers/AMs.
• Auditing new business to ensure workflow completeness (quotes, apps, checklists).

We need your talent and expertise.Commercial Lines ProcessorA Commercial Lines Processor is primarily responsible for processing documents related to commercial lines insurance and providing administrative support to the Producers and Account Managers.Standard duties of a Commercial Lines Processor include but are not limited to :Understanding and following the Cross Basic Procedure Manual.Understanding and following the Commercial Lines Workflow Manual.Issuing certificates and EPIsAuditing transactions to ensure that the correct Action Codes are being used.Reception duties as may be requiredFollowing up and completing open suspense’s daily.Running the download reports daily.Processing the download report which includes reviewing new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements for accuracy.Invoicing all types of download transactions.Mailing new business letters to clients.Processing mail for Producers and Account Managers that don’t require transactions by a licensed agent.Sort and distribute the mail to Producers and/or Account Managers that need to be handled by a licensed agent.Auditing new business to make sure workflow has been completed correctly (quote sheets, signed applications, completed checklists, etc.).Scanning hard files into AMS360.Checking policies for accuracy and ordering policy changes as directed by the account managersOrganize, set, and maintain priorities.Working knowledge and/or experience with AMS360 and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams) preferred but will train.Understanding the core job responsibilities of Producers and Account Managers.Perform other duties as assigned.Compensation: The base salary range for this role i $22-$25 hourly. Actual compensation will be based on factors including location, skills, experience, and internal equity.
