Job summary

Alera Group is seeking a Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent – Property & Casualty to support commercial insurance clients. You’ll work with Producers and Account Managers to service accounts, process policy changes, coordinate renewals, and deliver a high-quality client experience.

Responsibilities include renewals, endorsements, and submissions across multiple industries, with collaboration across underwriters and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage client communications related to renewals, policy changes, audits, billing, and general service inquiries.
• Respond promptly to client questions regarding coverage, billing, and claims.
• Build rapport with clients and contribute to long-term relationship retention.
• Service a portfolio of commercial accounts across multiple industries.
• Process endorsements, cancellations, certificates of insurance, and other policy changes.
• Prepare and review renewal submissions, applications, and proposals for new and existing business.
• Coordinate with underwriters and carriers to obtain quotes and coverage options.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry within agency management systems.
• Ensure adherence to insurance regulations, company standards, and client requirements.
• Support producers and account managers in marketing new and renewal business with a focus on retention.
