Job summary

The Jonus Group is assisting a Birmingham, AL client who seeks a P&C licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager. You will build strong client relationships and provide tailored insurance solutions across commercial lines.

Key duties include client communication, risk analysis, collaboration with underwriters, renewal coordination, and ongoing service with internal teams. Proficiency in insurance software and MS Office is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages and underwriting processes.
• Proficient in using insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior experience in middle market commercial lines account management or related roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing personalized insurance solutions.
• Regularly communicate with clients to assess evolving insurance requirements and address concerns.
• Evaluate client portfolios to identify gaps, recommend enhancements, and tailor policies.
• Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms, pricing and coverage options.
• Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals and reports to clients.
• Coordinate renewal processes and ensure timely submission to underwriters.
• Review policy documents and endorsements for accuracy and completeness.
• Proactively manage policy changes and administrative tasks.
• Analyze clients' businesses to identify risks and exposures and provide risk management recommendations.
• Act as liaison between clients and carriers during claims process and monitor progress.
• Work with internal teams to deliver seamless service and share market insights.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
