Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Driver Licensing, invites applications for a Driver and Commercial Licensing Examiner II. This full-time position administers tests and driving examinations to ensure qualified commercial driver license candidates and school bus drivers.

The role requires an Associate's degree with 1 year experience or a 3-year combination, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel across the state.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after high school.
• Education and experience must be in auto mechanics, instruction, training, customer service, driving work or related field.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Administer driving skills examinations and related tests for applicants.
• Qualify or disqualify applicants based on driving tests and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and assess knowledge of motor vehicle laws.
• Administer knowledge examinations and ensure understanding of FMCSA regulations.
• Represent the DMV at administrative hearings and manage documentation.
• Provide customer service and answer questions from the public.
