Job summary

First Financial Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant II in Bowling Green, KY to support lenders by preparing commitment letters, term sheets, and document reviews, and to help move transactions from approval through servicing.

The role requires five+ years in commercial loan processing or related work, strong regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with Laser Pro and Fiserv; you will manage loan files, generate reports, and deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial loan processing or related fields.
• Strong understanding of commercial lending practices and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Laser Pro documentation software and Fiserv systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with lenders.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment.
• Ability to sit/stand stationary for up to 75%.
• Ability to review detailed financial and legal documents.
• Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial Lenders: Prepare letters, term sheets, and docs to move transactions forward.
• Coordinate commercial loan documentation: Prepare/review docs ensuring terms, policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage commercial credit files: Maintain loan files, monitor statements, covenants, and reviews.
• Monitor commercial portfolios: Generate reports on maturities, activity, and risk indicators.
• Process commercial loan transactions: Complete payments, line advances, payoffs, and disbursements.
• Resolve documentation issues: Address exceptions and post-closing items from reviews.
• Coordinate loan closings: Work with attorneys, title companies, vendors and internal teams.
• Deliver exceptional service: Build relationships with clients, lenders, and partners.
• Maintain compliance: Ensure activities adhere to policies and regulations.
