Job summary

Interamerican Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the commercial lending area. The role involves ensuring top-tier customer service and assisting lenders with loan processing and documentation.

The candidate will work closely with Commercial Lenders and Senior Lending Officer to manage complex loan portfolios, resolve issues, and maintain regulatory compliance. Bilingual English/Spanish communication is required for client interactions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of commercial loan assistant experience.
• 3 years of bank experience desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent education; associate's degree desired.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Lenders and Senior Loan Officers with loan portfolios.
• Prepare loan documentation for new loans and renewals.
• Coordinate booking of loan documents and clear exceptions.
• Assist with collateral documentation and financial data gathering.
• Serve as first contact for commercial customers.
• Review loan documents for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare departmental reports for the Board.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities using banking products.
• Assist with deposits, wires, and NSF management as needed.
• Communicate in English and Spanish clearly.
