Job summary

Dacotah Bank in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to underwrite and service a broad portfolio of secured and unsecured loans. You will interview applicants, assess credit risk, and make loan decisions within established limits, while collaborating with management on larger deals and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes relationship building with local businesses, sound financial analysis, and the ability to develop new loan opportunities through active business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in community banking or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong credit/analytical skills.
• Highly detail oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to write clear credit correspondence and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS Outlook, Moody’s underwriting, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of commercial lending duties and adhere to bank policies.
• Develop and implement lending goals and programs to meet ROI targets.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance and adjust lending policies as needed.
• Identify market opportunities and target loan markets.
• Assist in collections and revise terms for delinquent loans when needed.
• Develop marketing plans and participate in community outreach.
