Job summary

Southern Bank seeks a Commercial Credit professional to manage commercial credit relationships in support of the assigned loan officer and assist with new loan requests, renewals, and document collection.

You will prepare loan presentations and monitor construction loans, coordinating closings with loan operations while working with coordinators and the credit team to assess risk and structure terms. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance required or credit/loan experience considered in lieu thereof.
• Two to five years’ experience with lending or commensurate experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial relationships for the assigned loan officer.
• Prepare loan presentations for new requests, modifications and renewals.
• Monitor construction loans in the portfolio.
• Work with loan coordinators on loan closings and with credit department/loan operations.
• Present credit packages to the loan committee.
• Collaborate with the loan officer to grow the loan portfolio.
• Analyze financial statements, assess creditworthiness and recommend loan structures.
