Job Title: Commercial Learning and Development Manager

The Opportunity:

automotiveMasterMind is seeking a dynamic Commercial Enablement Manager to develop and deliver comprehensive sales and product training to our Commercial understanding team members. This role involves assessing existing training materials, providing actionable recommendations, and developing innovative resources to equip our Commercial teams for effective customer interactions at all levels.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a clear understanding of B2B software sales and customer success dynamics in the automotive industry, coupled with hands-on experience in developing, facilitating and managing impactful training programs. The ideal individual is sales-oriented, collaborative, and has proven success building content from scratch and enhancing existing resources. Key qualifications include:

  • Sales Acumen: Strong knowledge of solution selling.
  • Training Expertise: Proven experience in designing and executing training programs tailored for sales and account management teams.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A commitment to exceeding expectations by developing training materials and measuring the success of Commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Sales & Account Management Processes: Partner with Leadership to evaluate and assess essential skills, knowledge, and tools needed by customer-facing teams.
  • Develop Training Plans and Lesson Content: Design, develop, and implement sales training programs that enhance selling skills, product knowledge, and sales process effectiveness. Utilize a mixture of instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning methodologies to maximize impact.
  • Create Actionable Tools: Translate product messaging into practical resources such as word tracks, email templates, and cheat sheets tailored for specific buyer personas.
  • Partner with Marketing: Help develop sales tools, including demo scripts and PowerPoint presentations, to assist Commercial teams in articulating our product offerings effectively.
  • Centralize Resources: Collaborate with Product Marketing and Central Marketing to maintain a centralized repository of materials that meet the needs of the sales organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish measurable success metrics to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Support Corporate Strategies: Align training initiatives with corporate and sales strategies to drive overall business objectives.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of professional sales training/enablement experience in high-tech, high-growth B2B organizations in the automotive industry. Certifications in Challenger Selling and/or Solutions Selling preferred.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in implementing effective sales processes, methodologies, and playbook initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working across teams and with third-party vendors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise software industries is preferred.
  • Strategic Insight: Ability to comprehend high-level sales, business, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Self-Motivated: A proactive self-starter who can drive projects with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Outstanding communication, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to lead through influence and work effectively within a team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM (Salesforce.com), Training and Enablement software (such as Lessonly, Thought Industries), Microsoft Office, and document design/editing tools.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel nationwide as needed to support training requirements across teams.
