Job summary

Hobart Service in Edina, MN is seeking a Service Technician I–IV to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial food equipment. You will diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration systems and communicate repair recommendations to customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment; bend, kneel, stoop, and climb in commercial kitchens.
• On-call coverage including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Install and service commercial cooking, warewash, refrigeration, and food preparation equipment.
• Communicate repair recommendations and solutions with customers.
• Maintain parts inventory, tools, and company vehicle.
• Support our safety culture by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices.
