Job summary

Hobart Service is hiring Service Technician I–IV in Minnesota. The role offers a company-provided vehicle, paid training, and clear advancement from Technician I through Technician IV.

You will diagnose, repair, and service commercial kitchen equipment, work with customers, and participate in safety practices. On-call nights and weekends may be required, with benefits including health coverage and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment/parts; bend, kneel, stoop, and climb; work safely in a variety of commercial kitchen environments
• This position requires on-call coverage, including nights and weekends, as needed to support customer service needs

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration equipment issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Install and service commercial cooking, warewash, refrigeration, and food preparation equipment
• Communicate repair recommendations and solutions with customers
• Maintain parts inventory, tools, and company vehicle
• Support our safety culture by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices
