Job summary

Hobart Service is seeking Service Technicians I–IV to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial food equipment across restaurants, grocers, healthcare facilities, and schools. You’ll work with a company vehicle and receive paid training, certification opportunities, and career growth.

Qualified candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, valid driver’s license, and a willingness to on-call, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment/parts; bend, kneel, stoop, and climb; work safely in a variety of commercial kitchen environments.
• This position requires on-call coverage, including nights and weekends, as needed to support customer service needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Install and service commercial cooking, warewash, refrigeration, and food preparation equipment.
• Communicate repair recommendations and solutions with customers.
• Maintain parts inventory, tools, and company vehicle.
• Support our safety culture by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices.
