Brenham Independent School District is seeking a Child Nutrition Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install commercial kitchen equipment as part of the Child Nutrition program across district facilities.

The role requires a solid background in repair of kitchen appliances, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to coordinate with cafeteria staff to minimize disruption to meal service. A Texas driver’s license and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and eligibility for district vehicle insurance.
• Three years of repair and maintenance experience on commercial kitchen equipment.
• HVAC certificate or Journeyman Electrical License preferred.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain and repair gas, electric, refrigerated and non-refrigerated kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues and recommend repairs or part replacements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Train staff on maintenance techniques to extend equipment life.
• Coordinate with cafeteria teams to minimize meal-service disruption.
