Job summary

Fort Worth ISD's Child Nutrition Services seeks an Apprentice Appliance Repair to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment across CNS campuses. You will work under direct supervision to help keep equipment safe and reliable.

Duties include minor service, preventive maintenance, and assisting technicians with major repairs, keeping time, labor, and material logs, and responding to after-hours calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of general trade, maintenance, or appliance repair experience required.
• Preferred FWISD CTE program.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen appliances.
• Assist Appliance Repair Technicians with major service and installation.
• Check gas appliance for leaks and notify technician if issues found.
• Maintain logs of time, labor, and materials and write reports.
• Respond to emergency calls, including after-hours and weekends.
