Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks an Appliance Repair Technician II for the Child Nutrition Services (CNS) department to install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen appliances across district campuses.

Responsibilities include servicing walk-in freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, dish machines, ovens, and boilers; replacing faulty components; locating gas leaks; and ensuring safety compliance. Requires 2–5 years of related experience and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency.
• EPA Certified Service Technician preferred.
• Experience: 2-5 years repairing/replacing/installing commercial kitchen appliances (HVAC Refrigeration considered an appliance).

Responsibilities

• Services and repairs walk-in and reach-in freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Replaces compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, and other electrical components in commercial kitchen equipment.
• Installs, repairs, and replaces dish machines, ovens, steam tables, warming cabinets, and garbage disposals; as well as heating elements, light bulbs, door handles, hinges, water solenoid valves, and related components.
• Locates and stops gas leaks; replaces burners and pilot assemblies.
