Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC designs and manufactures commercial food equipment and supports Hobart Service customers with on-site installation and repair of cooking, refrigeration, and related systems.

The Service/Repair Technician 2 role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to read schematics. The position includes on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekend on-site repair support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with electrical and mechanical experience, or HVACR experience with EPA certification.
• HVACR EPA certification is preferred for more advanced service work.
• Vocational HVACR certificate is acceptable for entry-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs as needed.
• Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs basic mechanical equipment for customers.
• Interprets and follows schematic diagrams to troubleshoot systems.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sequence of operations for multiple modes.
• Completes and documents preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Supports safety manuals and standard operating procedures in daily work.
• Keeps up-to-date on company assets including vehicle, tools, and inventory.
