Job summary

Moreton & Company is seeking a qualified Insurance Support professional in Denver to assist the Sales Executive in marketing, processing, and selling all lines of commercial insurance. Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be thorough and accurate.
• Ability to understand and analyze commercial lines coverage, forms, rating, and policies.
• Holds a current Utah Producer Property/Casualty license or will obtain it within three months of hire or promotion.
• Prior insurance industry experience of at least three to five years required.

Responsibilities

• Understands structure and content of insurance contracts, including exclusions, terms and conditions.
• Awareness of most insurance coverages.
• Knowledge of major coverages: General Liability/Products Liability, Commercial Automobile, WC, Property, Business Income and Umbrella.
• Knowledge of premium rating methods and audits.
• Understands loss information, loss forecasting, collateral and accruals.
• Knowledge of exposure information and its applications.
• Develops and produces submissions on coverages, including more complex coverages.
• Ability to place standard coverages with limited assistance.
• Understands the underwriter’s perspective on coverage/placement issues.
• Analyzes and compares policies.
• Limited ability to analyze, compare, develop and recommend design options.
• Pursue a designation(s) in CPCU, CIC, CRM or ARM.
