Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking a Commercial Insurance Placement Manager for our Middle Market team in Linwood, NJ. This hybrid role emphasizes strategic placement, carrier negotiations, and strong underwriter relationships to place complex mid-sized risks.

You will manage submissions, coordinate with Account Executives, and balance new-business with renewal deadlines while advancing the department’s growth. Licensure in NJ is required, with state-of-the-art broker tools.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years in commercial insurance marketing/placement.
• Strong P&C and middle-market coverage knowledge.
• Active New Jersey Property & Casualty license.
• Experience preparing carrier submissions and analyzing quotes.
• Experience negotiating coverage, pricing, exclusions, and terms with underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Market new and renewal middle-market commercial P&C accounts to carriers.

We’re partnering with an established commercial insurance brokerage seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Placement Manager to support its growing Middle Market team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands commercial P&C coverage, knows how to navigate carrier appetites, and enjoys the strategy and negotiation involved in placing middle-market risks.

What You’ll Do

• Market new and renewal middle-market commercial P&C accounts to appropriate insurance carriers.
• Review exposures, applications, loss history and account information to build complete carrier submissions.
• Work closely with Account Executives and service teams throughout the placement process.
• Manage carrier submissions, underwriting questions, quotes and placement deadlines.
• Compare coverage, pricing, deductibles, exclusions, limits and terms across carriers.
• Negotiate directly with underwriters to secure competitive coverage and favorable terms.
• Match individual client risks with the carriers best suited for the exposure.
• Prepare clear quote comparisons and placement recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong carrier and underwriter relationships.
• Help support the continued growth of the Middle Market department, with potential for additional leadership responsibility.

The position is particularly focused on handling complex middle-market risks while balancing new-business and renewal deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

• 4-5+ years of commercial insurance marketing/placement experience
• Strong commercial Property & Casualty / Middle Market coverage knowledge
• Active New Jersey Property & Casualty license
• Hands-on experience preparing carrier submissions and analyzing quotes
• Strong understanding of carrier appetite and risk placement
• Experience negotiating coverage, pricing, exclusions and terms with underwriters
• Strong carrier/underwriter relationship-management skills
• Experience managing both new-business and renewal placements
• Independent brokerage experience is highly preferred
• AMS360 experience is a plus; Applied Epic experience is also helpful

Schedule & Compensation

This is a hybrid position based in Linwood, New Jersey, currently structured around four days onsite and one day remote, with the possibility of additional flexibility. Typical hours are 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. Base salary is up to $125,000, with bonus
