Job Description

Title: Account Manager - Commercial Lines

Location: Fully Remote, U.S.A.

Book Focus: Transportation (experience required)

Role Overview: Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring client retention and supporting new business development. Coordinate daily administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Competence: Maintain industry expertise and technical skills.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the daily activities of the account management team.
  • Customer Service: Address customer requests, manage policies, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Policy Management: Oversee policy expirations and renewals.
  • Renewals: Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and follow up on delinquent accounts to collect outstanding balances.
  • System Maintenance: Keep agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms updated and accurate.
  • Activity Monitoring: Track and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
  • Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the team regarding workload and issues.
  • Service Excellence: Provide proactive, excellent service and respond promptly to requests.
  • Policy Compliance: Stay informed on company policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Adopt best practices to enhance team and individual performance.
  • Core Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership in all actions.
Candidate Qualifications
  • 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active Property & Casualty license; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
