Job summary

The Jonus Group in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Manager to service a large book of business and manage proposals, reviews, and renewals. This role requires knowledge of multiple commercial lines and the ability to work with carriers (admitted and non-admitted) to retain accounts.

The ideal candidate will have strong client-facing skills, independence or team collaboration, and a drive to support agency revenue. A valid P&C license is required.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of multiple lines of commercial coverage.
• Experience in a client-facing role, building relationships.
• Able to work independently or in a team to support sales and revenue.
• Skilled in problem solving for cancellations, renewals, audits and carrier issues.
• Experience in an independent brokerage setting.
• Active P&C license.

Established agency seeking a detail-oriented person who demonstrates clear knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance coverage.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Servicing a large, established book of business
• Preparing proposals, policy summaries and reviews
• Reviewing applications and contracts for accuracy
• Handling new and renewal business
• Working with multiple carriers, both admitted and non-admitted
• Retention for all accounts assigned

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

• Deep understanding of multiple lines of commercial coverage
• Prior experience in a client facing role, building and maintaining relationships
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to support sales and drive agency revenue.
• Apply problem solving techniques to various issues including cancellations, claims, renewal issues, audits, receivables, carrier issues
• Experience working in an independent brokerage setting.
• Must carry an active P&C license.

Compensation Package

• Compensation: Between $65K-$85K (depending on experience) + commission opportunities.
