Summary: The Commercial Insurance Account Executive (middle-market) interacts with clients daily, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and carrier representatives. Responsibilities include preparing applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for new business and renewals, often with supervision and approval. The role may involve acting as the lead consultant and primary contact for clients, with potential revenue and retention targets.

This is a full-time position with hybrid or remote work options.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
  • Coordinate with Claims Department on relevant claims for clients.
  • Ensure accurate information updates, including exposures, driver info, reporting forms, endorsements, to prevent E&O claims.
  • Maintain follow-up systems to ensure receipt of policies, endorsements, and other requests.
  • Potentially supervise or direct daily activities of Coordinators and Account Managers.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and visits, keeping clients informed of industry trends and regulatory issues.

  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile financial reports.
  • Technical expertise with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional, courteous, and calm handling of situations.
  • Attention to detail, decision-making, and problem resolution skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Over 5 years of industry and product line experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
  • P&C Insurance License required.
  • Designations like CIC, CPCU preferred.
