Job summary

Mechanical Systems and Service (MSS) is seeking a Commercial HVAC technician to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install HVAC systems from its Lake Charles area operation. The role requires 3+ years of service experience and EPA 608 certification, with work based out of Lake Charles and covering the surrounding counties.

You will inspect systems, diagnose issues, follow safety procedures, and document work performed.

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
EPA 608 certification required.
Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect malfunctions.
Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other occurrences on work orders.
Adjust system controls to manufacturer-recommended settings to balance the system.
Install or maintain components such as ducts, valves, pipes, and dampers per blueprints.
Study blueprints and specifications to ensure proper installation of components.
