Job summary

MSS Louisiana in West Monroe, LA, is seeking a Commercial HVAC technician to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install HVAC systems. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of HVAC service experience and an EPA 608 certification.

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
EPA 608 certification is required.
Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and packaged units.
Ability to read electronic schematics.
High School diploma or GED plus equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specs or locate malfunctions.
Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
Follow safety procedures and keep a clean work area.
Record and report faults, deficiencies, and time/materials on work orders.
Adjust system controls to manufacturer-recommended settings.
Develop or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning and replacing filters.
Install components to heating-cooling equipment following blueprints.
Study blueprints and manufacturer recommendations to ensure proper installation.
Fabricate or install duct work or chassis parts as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
