Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; HVAC trade school/associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License; must comply with Transportation Regulation EDC-R; Universal EPA refrigerant handling certification required; NIULPE or NATE certification or Restricted HVAC license required.
• 2 years experience with commercial equipment including chiller, air handler, hot water heater.
• 3rd class NIULPE or NATE certification or restricted HVAC license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting and repair of building distribution systems including low pressure steam distribution, heat exchangers, hot and cold deck systems, air handlers, and pneumatic and digital controls.
• Installs and repairs HVAC equipment and related systems including insulation, pumps, motors, chillers, air-handlers; troubleshoot pneumatic systems; address boilers and furnaces; repair piping and fittings.
• Performs preventive maintenance and major component replacement work with energy management and control system operators.
• Monitors and adjusts system set points using remote controls and Johnson Controls/Trane software.
• Reads blueprints and schematics to determine work sites and resources; completes requisitions for parts and materials; maintains logs and records.
