Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking an experienced HVAC sales engineer to drive revenue growth in the commercial built environment across the Las Vegas market. You will apply engineered HVAC solutions from concept through procurement, installation and commissioning, engaging contractors, engineers, and end users to optimize systems.

The role requires deep knowledge of HVAC design principles, ASHRAE/IMC codes, and system performance, with hands-on experience in air handlers, rooftops, chillers, VAVs,

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in applied HVAC engineering or technical sales.
• Experience with air handlers, AHUs, VAVs, boilers, chillers, and building automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of psychrometrics, airflow, heat transfer, and refrigeration cycles.
• Experience reading mechanical plans and submittals; familiarity with IMC and ASHRAE codes.
• Proficient with manufacturer software for equipment selection and system analysis.
• Excellent communication and negotiation in a sales-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop account strategies to grow market share with contractors and design-build firms.
• Analyze project plans to identify system optimization opportunities.
• Provide engineered equipment selections based on airflow and load calculations.
• Support design of commercial HVAC systems and building automation integration.
• Collaborate with design engineers and contractors to influence design specs.
• Deliver technical product support during installation and commissioning.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers for updates and best practices.
• Generate technical proposals with schematics and performance analyses.
• Track pipelines in CRM and forecast project milestones.
• Participate in training and industry events to stay current.
